Another fascinating field of political collecting is that of the signatures of the very folks which our political items promote. So, what "John Hancocks" of prominent (or not-so-prominent) politicians do you possess? I recently acquired a 1953 inaugural program autographed by both President Eisenhower and Vice President Richard M. Nixon. I also have a nine-inch cello button autographed by Barry Goldwater, and a local politician's palm card signed by Rhode Island Governor and U.S. Senator John Chafee. Another item is a 2004 George W. Bush campaign rally ticket autographed by Karen Hughes, Karl Rove, and the Bellamy Brothers (who sang the country hit "Let your love flow"). Unfortunately I couldn't quite obtain George W. Bush's autograph!
