Advertising on the PoliticalCollectors.com community is an easy and exceptionally affordable way to reach those interested in the collection of political campaign items and memorabilia.

The site is free for anyone to use and we plan on always keeping it that way. But because there are costs associated with hosting a site and consistently updating it and adding new features, we’ve decided that advertising is the best way for the community itself to assure that the site will continue to exist to aid current and future collectors.

Who Are We?

PoliticalCollectors.com is a community dedicated to connecting political items collectors and enthusiasts together in hopes of preserving this piece of U.S. political history. The site allows its members to post their items for sale in the Marketplace, connect with other collectors in the Community section, check out upcoming collectibles shows in the Events Calendar and read stories submitted by others in the Stories section.

Another exciting feature coming soon to PoliticalCollectors.com is the Political Collectors Archive – an ambitious project that will essentially provide a community-driven catalog containing every known political campaign item in existence. This online index exclusive to PoliticalCollectors.com is a one-of-a-kind feature that allows members to rate and comment on items listed in the catalog, save their favorite listings in their own personal bookmark section and even submit new item listings to be archived. The archive, which is moderated by several long-time political items collectors, is a continuously growing online museum of political campaign memorabilia that can only be found at PoliticalCollectors.com.

The online Political Collectors Archive is currently being tweaked and tested by the moderators and should be available to the public by the end of May 2009, if not much sooner.

Why Advertise Here?

PoliticalCollectors.com caters to long-time political items collectors as well as other enthusiasts and those new to the hobby. Launched in February 2009, the site has grown exponentially and has already garnered 150 active political collectors in the community. This is evidenced by the activity displayed in our Community section and the sheer amount of listings in our Marketplace. In April, the site received an average of 100 visitors and 1,300 page views per day. Our May metrics have already shown an increase in traffic, with several days topping more than 2,000 page views.

What Ads Do You Provide?

We currently have two ad sizes available that are displayed in different areas of our Web site. We provide a standard medium rectangle ad at 300 x 250 pixels (preview), which displays at the top right of our homepage as well as beneath content on our Marketplace and upcoming Archive section.

We also provide for a large banner ad at 728 x 90 pixels (preview). The banner ad receives the most exposure because it displays at the top of every Community page (including photo galleries) as well as at the top of every page in our upcoming Archive section.

All advertisements are set on a randomly-sorted animated display sequence and can contain anything you’d like them to (text, full color images, etc.).
